The Lemmings are what John Richey (guitar), Catherine Jahncke
(bass and occasional vocals), Rosemary Philips (mandolin and vocals) and Steve Farina (drums and has only ever sang once that
I can remember) call themselves when they are playing with me. They probably just refer to themselves by their names and their
various titles when they aren't with me. We got together in 2006 in John's basement. If John had not
had a basement I don't know what we would have done. Garage bands don't really work in the North Country where the
winters can be 6 months long.
The Dumpster Sessions - John had a dumpster in his front lawn. Some kind of artistic statement
apparently. And I ask you. What band in its right mind would pass up the chance to have its picture taken with a dumpster?
